If your look at the comprehensive annual financial reports, you will see that the United States local, state, and federal government owns 70% of the stock market in the United States. Cap and trade taxes are currently being debated and there is legislation in place to insert carbon taxes if passed. There are discussions of an executive order to add carbon taxes. Millions of people in third world countries are starving to death due to environmental regulations illegally administered from countries like the United States onto those third world country. Look at graphs of Ron Paul google searches up until a month before the 2008 elections, when mainstream media talked mostly about Obama and Clinton and then Ron Paul was surpassed in google searches by both Obama and Clinton despite having a HUGE lead before the media really began to focus on the elections. Glaciers have been melting for billions of years. Some glaciers melt, some form, some grow, some shrink. Look at the ice records from the University of Illinois. Yeah, climate change has been around for over 300 billion years. I agree with you on that. However, we are not experiencing a great deal of anthropogenic global warming.
